LEVEL 3 EDUCATION & TRAINING COURSE (L3AET) | PTLLS

Online teaching qualification for those within the beauty, hair and aesthetics industry.

This online teacher training course is designed for both new and already experienced trainers which can be completed easily from home at your own pace and allows you to gain accreditation and start your own training academy or work within an existing academy.

 

Please note that if you are creating your own courses, you will need to apply for accreditation after this course in order to start teaching. Completing this course alone will not allow you to teach insurable courses. If you are working for an existing academy with their own accreditation you can start teaching as soon as the course is completed and you have passed.  

 

All course materials will be provided via email with full tutor support for the duration of your course. Your enrolment email will be sent to you immediately after payment after which you can return assignments as and when they are completed.

COURSE TIMINGS
At your own convenience in your own time for 90 days
. You are able to complete the course as fast as you like. Some learners have completed the course in as little as two weeks. (If you require extended time over and above the 90 days, this is possible for a small fee).

 

COURSE VENUE
Course Theory:
Your own home / office - You will need a computer with access to the internet.

Teaching Observation (Micro-Teaching Session): Your own home / office via Skype or Video Recording OR if you wish to attend  in person, you may attend at a dedicated assessment centre in Milton Keynes. (15-30 mins)
 

LEARNING OUTCOMES
On successful completion of the course, you will:

  • Understand your own roles, responsibilities and boundaries in relation to teaching

  • Understand appropriate teaching and learning approaches within a specialist area

  • Demonstrate session planning skills - plan, deliver, observe and evaluate a micro-teaching  session

  • Understand how to deliver inclusive sessions that motivate learners

  • Understand the use of different assesment methods

  • Understand and analyse the need for accurate record keeping and procedures including internal and external verification

 

PRE-REQUISITES

  • You must be a minimum of 19 years old.

  • Possess good reading and writing skills in English.

  • One photographic proof of identification:

    • Valid Passport with Visa (any Nationality) OR

    • Signed UK Photo Card Driving Licence OR

    • Valid Warrant Card issued by HM Forces or Police OR

    • Other Photographic ID Card, e.g., Employee ID Card (must be current employer), Student ID Card, Travel Card etc.


POSSIBLE PASS RESULTS

You will be happy to know that you CANNOT fail this course. You will receive only a PASS / REFER result. This means that if there is anything that requires amendments on the theory section, the assessor will give you action points WITH guidance on how to achieve them in the next attempt. Once these are complete, along with your micro-teaching session, you will qualify for the certification.

7-14 Working days after the completion of your theory & practical assignments.

COURSE PROGRESSION

The qualification allows candidates to progress into employment as teachers/trainers, as well as to the following qualifications:

  • Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training

  • Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training

  • Level 3 and 4 Awards, Certificates and Diplomas in Learning and Development

  • Level 3 Assessment and Quality Assurance

  • Awards in Planning and Delivering Training Sessions

  • Awards/Certificate for Learning Support Practitioners

  • English for Literacy and Language Teaching / Mathematics for Numeracy Teaching

ASSESMENTS
  • 5 Essay Type Assignments (Theory Assessment) - You would get the Guidance Notes on how to answer the theory assignments to keep you on track

  • Planning & delivery of a 15-30 minutes’ micro-teaching session (Practical Assessment) - The practical micro-teaching session can be done on any topic of your choice. (You would need to be part of at least 1 hours' session duration. The remaining 30-45 minutes can be 'You' observing 'Other's sessions')

  • Around 48 hours of online material in the form of Lessons

  • Videos clearly explaining the concepts around Education & Training

  • Audio/Podcasts clearly explaining the concepts around Education & Training

  • Analytical reading texts

  • Discussions with peers and tutor

  • On-going quizzes throughout the course and more...

CERTIFICATE TURN AROUND TIME
Within 2 working weeks after successful completion of your theory & practical assignments (For most qualifications, we have a Direct Claims Status with the Awarding Organisations). You would be emailed the digital copy of your certificate and you can share it digitally. There is an extra cost of £20+VAT=£24 for physical copies of the certificate.

​After completing this course, you will gain knowledge in various learning styles as well as being able to plan and design your own training courses. This course will also allow you to effectively run and supervise a training session ensuring that  your training is effective.

 

​This qualification is a recognised teaching qualification that you must enrol onto in order to become an accredited trainer. It is a minimum requirement for beauty therapists, hairdressers and other beauty/aesthetic professionals to hold this qualification in order to start teaching.
